Schedule: In Person, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Salary Range: $90,000 to $125,000.00 (depending on experience)
Job Summary:
The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of IT support services, ensuring stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that support core organizational functions. This role combines technical expertise with supervisory and managerial responsibilities, including directing the work of IT staff, assigning and evaluating work, participating in personnel decisions, managing infrastructure projects, and ensuring excellent end-user support and cybersecurity compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, assign work, evaluate performance, and provide coaching and corrective action for IT Specialists and AV Specialists; effectively recommend hiring, promotion, disciplinary action, and other personnel decisions.
- Establish departmental priorities, allocate resources, and exercise independent judgement in directing the day-to-day activities of assigned staff.
- Participate in recruitment, interviewing, selection, onboarding and succession planning for Information Technology staff.
- Manage and support IT infrastructure including servers, networks, workstations, and cloud environments.
- Monitor and resolve issues related to system performance, availability, and security.
- Oversee helpdesk operations, ensuring timely resolution of support tickets and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technology needs and implement solutions.
- Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, data protection laws, and industry best practices.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and software for organizational improvement.
- Maintain accurate documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.
- Participate in budget planning, vendor management, and procurement of IT resources.
- Provide escalation support for complex technical issues.
- Develop training materials and conduct technical training for staff.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in IT support, system administration, or network management.
- 2+ years of experience supervising employees, including performance management, work assignment, employee development, and participation in personnel decisions.
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux systems, Active Directory, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
- Proficient with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid Driver License and reliable vehicle
- Regular access to confidential and sensitive organizational, personnel, labor relations, and board-related information requiring a high degree of discretion and judgement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent.
- Experience with ITIL practices and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
Working Conditions:
- May require occasional evening or weekend work for maintenance or emergency support.
- On-call availability as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. for hardware development or troubleshooting.
