Are you passionate about education justice? Are you interested in learning more about unions for teachers and other educators? Have you worked, are currently working, or considering in K-12 education?
Applications are now open for the Boston Teachers Union Organizing Internship starting school year 2027.
This is a two-year program, designed to teach you organizing skills from the ground up. You will learn to organize people to stand up for their rights and support campaigns that center low-income students and families.
Experience working with children/youth is required in an urban setting is a plus. A BA is helpful but not necessary. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus. Formal organizing experience is not needed.
You must have the ability to live and work in the Boston area starting in July of 2027. Must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed. Work from the initial May-July could be remote.
