Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA) is a non-profit labor union headquartered in Washington, DC. Founded in 1903, LIUNA has a strong history in the protection of laborers through wages and health and safety. LIUNA is seeking a reliable, organized individual with a positive attitude to perform in a fast-paced office. The individual would perform a wide variety of both confidential and routine administrative and social media duties for the General Secretary-Treasurer’s office. They would assist with presentations, expenses, travel and other administrative needs, as assigned. This position is based in the office with an opportunity to work one day remote based on performance. Competitive compensation and great benefits.

Responsibilities include:
- Drafting and developing correspondence, such as letters, reports, and printed materials.
- Conducting research for presentations and programs.
- Work with Communications Department to handle social media account for the General
- Secretary-Treasurer including drafting content, collecting photos and videos and posting.
- Developing and creating talking points for the General Secretary-Treasurer for his engagements.
- Serving as back up to the Executive Assistant, General Secretary-Treasurer’s office on duties including, but not limited to, maintaining schedules, scheduling travel, preparing variances and dispensations, working on bonds, providing administrative support to the Audit program, filling out expense reports and assisting with LIUNA’s lease vehicle program.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- A Two-year Degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- A strong working knowledge of administrative practices, organizational skills and social media.
- Excellent grammar, proofreading and editing skills.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, PowerPoint and other relevant computer and social media applications.
